Modal uses Hex's agents, Notebook Agent and Threads, along with a Slack integration so teams across the company can query and analyze data in plain language without building a new notebook for each question. It connects Snowflake and ClickHouse in one place and guides the agent with endorsed dbt models and a workspace rules file instead of a separate semantic layer.
