Shell uses Databricks as a foundational part of its Shell.ai platform to unify data, analytics and AI workloads for its engineers, data scientists and analysts. It is applied to supply chain and spare-parts inventory simulations, a loyalty program recommendation engine, and business intelligence and reporting.

We have an entirely different class of citizen engineers and data scientists who are using it as a modern business intelligence tool to make smarter business decisions.
